Beauty Splurge Haul

Over the last week, I seem to (with the help of Anna) have emptied my purse and gone a little mad in the beauty department, so I thought I would share my purchases with you..

Let's get started...

The Lush Space Girl Bath Ballistic. This smells absolutely divine, with a lavender/blackcurrant type smell (as you can see I am not great as describing smells, sorry!) but honestly I cannot wait to use this when I next have a bath.

The Lancome Hypnôse Drama Mascara in 01. This is my absolute favourite mascara and I had just run out, so I just had to have it again! In fact, this was in my February favourites post so if you want more details about why I love it so much then you can see there.

All these items were bought in Boots on their classic 3 for 2 deal, which gets me spending every time..
So, from left to right, there is the Garnier Soft Essentials Comforting Toner, Garnier Moisture Match Goodbye Dry Ultra-Hydrating Moisture Match, and Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Nose Strips. I've used all these products and all of them have done wonders for my skin, so I highly recommend all of them!

I was inspired to buy these Superdrug Cotton Wool Pads, by the youtuber and blogger Zoella. They are actually from the Superdrug mother and baby range but are cheaper and bigger, so you can't go wrong really. I have been using them along with my new Garnier toner.

I have tried so many different hairspray's and none of them have seemed to do the job, so I decided to try the Boots own extra firm hold hairspray, since it's very cheap and you get a lot of it. Although I wouldn't say it is amazing, it does the job almost as well as my old L'oreal Elnett Satin Supreme Hold Hairsray.

These last two items were actually a surprise present from my nan and as you can see she is amazing:

The MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul is a blush I have been wanting to buy for ages but putting off due to the £19.00 price tag..but now I have it I am absolutely loving it! It's not like your typical 'pinky' blush, it has more of a peachy, nude tone to it, with an amazing shimmer.

Finally, the MAC Paint Pot Eyeshadow in Bare Study  is a beautiful nude eyeshadow that really brightens my eyes when I put it on..so props to my nan for choosing this amazing colour.

So, I hope you liked this quick haul and as always, if you want to contact Anna or I then leave a comment or contact us and we will happily respond.

Quick Fix - 5 Beauty Buys

What's up guys today I have just a quick little post for you showing the most recent makeup bits I have picked up (a mini haul)

Right to Left - Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie, Revlon Balm Stain in Romantic, Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, Mac Blush in Well Dressed

This colour is unique from anything else I have in my lip product collection; I generally either go for light/medium pinks or reds. To start my venturing out into other colours, I decided to choose a Lip Butter because they are just so easy to wear! They are £7.99 at Boots.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Romantic

There is a 'Buy one get one half price' deal on Revlon, and I thought it would be rude not to take advantage of this. Therefore I seem to have ended up with another Kissable Balm Stain but this time in a lovely sheer red. I love these products and for £4 (after the deal) I couldn't say no.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze

This is one of those products which has been talked about some much online, and so I finally gave it and bought it. I think it is called 'Bad to the Bronze' abroad, but in England it has a different name. Not sure why, but anyway this is a beautiful product and well worth £5.

Mac Blush in Well Dressed

I have wanted this product for so long, but it was the £17.50 price tag which was stopping me. I caved and recklessly bought it and now I'm glad I did! I think it is such a 'me' colour, but would work on so many different skin tones. How exciting!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 51 Light Vanilla

I generally don't wear foundation but after I heard Essie Button talking about this one I couldn't resist. My first impressions are good, it has light coverage and goes on lovely and smoothly. I have the lightest shade and I think it matches me quite well (which is hard to find). Overall so far I really like this product (and it smells lush)!

Hope you liked this quick post guys, and if you want me to review any of these product I would be more than happy! Just comment below or contact Olivia and me. Thanks everyone!

Olivia's Top 5 Lip Products!

Hello there guys, my absolute obsession recently has been lip products and I just can't seem to stop buying them! So I thought I would share with you my current top 5. I have so many favourites, so I found it a challenge to narrow my collection down but I've finally managed it.

So even though there are many, many more that I love, here are my top 5 lip products..

Let's start with a relatively new purchase, the MAC Please Me lipstick, it is a matte finished, muted rose/pastel pink shade and I am in love!

This was, in fact, my first ever MAC lipstick and I saw in a review somewhere that said this would be a good colour for first time MAC lipstick buyers and that was completely true, this is the perfect, subtle pink colour for everyday wear as it is a more natural and 'nudey' pink. It is super pigmented and goes onto my lips so smoothly. I also think this is a very feminine and girly colour which I can't get enough of! The one and only downside to this lipstick is, because of the matte formulation, it can leave my lips some what dry, especially in the freezing cold weather but I think in the summer this will be my absolute go-to lipstick.

Second, is another MAC lipstick and it's the MAC Ramblin' Rose, which is a 'frost', neutral/browny/pinky/peachy colour with gold shimmer to it.

I have been looking for a more neutral/orangey lipstick, unlike all my other lipsticks that are mostly pink and red tones and so when I came across this lipstick I immediately new I was going to buy it and love it..and I was right. I love this lipstick as it is has good pigmentation and you can still see the subtle gold shimmer once you have applied it onto your lips. Also, as I suffer from dry and chapped lips most of the time, I find this lipstick moisturises my lips almost as well as some of my lip balms. I have a feeling this lipstick is going to be used up, right down to the nub and repurchased!!

My next product is the last of the lipsticks in this post and it is the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 01, which is the deep red colour.

I bought this lipstick a while ago and have loved it ever since I bought it. I would say that it is a matte lipstick but with a slight sheen to it. I love the fact that even though it is a matte formulation, it is creamy and doesn't dry out my lips. I'm not brave enough to make this one of my day-to-day lipsticks, although I think on certain occasions it makes me feel more glamorous and sophisticated. And for almost half the price, I do think this lipstick matches up to the quality MAC, brilliant value?!

Next is the raved about, Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial - a mauvey pink colour that has a satiny finish but dries slightly matte.

I've never really gotten into lip glosses until recently when I bought this one from boots and I love it and hopefully will be buying a few of the other shades in this collection. You wouldn't think so from looking at the tube but it has a hint of purple in it and I love that as I have been trying not to just stick with pink lips all the time. I do find myself having to re-apply it a few times throughout the day, otherwise my lips become a little dry but other than that I can't fault this product.

Finally, this is more of a lip-care product but it still makes my top 5 lip products - the Lush Sweet Lips Lip Scrub in vanilla and chocolate.

Unfortunately, since I bought this product over a year ago, they don't sell the exact same flavour any more, although they do sell the same product just in different flavours; Popcorn, Bubblegum and Mint Julip. This scrub is amazing at getting rid of gross, dry excess skin on my lips and I usually apply a lip balm straight after using it and it makes my lips soft and smooth almost straight away after the very first use! I usually get most use out of this product during the winter as that is when my lips are the most chapped and dry. An added bonus to this product is the fact that it is made of sugar, so that means it tastes delicious.

Here are some swatches for you but do suggest that, if you can, go out and swatch them yourself before purchasing them:

Hope you liked this post and I highly recommend all these products to you all. If you enjoyed this post then let me know by commenting or contacting Anna or I, and I will do similar posts or whatever you fancy.
Thanks for reading, see you soon :)

Anna's Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes!

Hey guys, as Spring is on its way (although it might not feel like it at the moment) I have decided to share with you my favourite nail polishes for the season. I'm definitely a pastel kind of girl and you will be able to see the recurring theme in these polishes! Enjoy x

Essie "Bikini So Teeny"

This polish (brought kindly back from America by Olivia) is the perfect colour for Spring and Summer. It is a creamy pale blue with a slight periwinkle tone which I love. It almost has a shimmer to it as well but this is hardly noticeable in the bottle or on the nails. In the picture above (on my thumb) I used 3 coats, but you could probably get away with 2. So gorgeous!

Topshop "Art School"

Another fab colour is this orange from Topshop (pictured on my index finger). It looks a little dark in the photo, but it is a really lovely coral which is easy to wear. I also love the Topshop packaging which shouldn't influence my favourites but it does! There are 2 coats of polish in the photo.

Barry M "Peach Melba"

Barry M is always a winner when it comes to colour range and formulation, and this one is no exception. There was a lot of hype over this colour a year or two ago and it really is worth it in my opinion. For the perfect peach at a cheap price, check out this one from Barry M!

Essie "Play Date"

Probably my favourite nail polish at the moment is this one from Essie. It is a lilac but have more blue than pink tones. I think it is quite a unique purple and just love the way is both looks and applies. However, if you don't want to splash out on an Essie nail polish, Barry M Berry Ice Cream is lovely too.

Barry M "Mint Green"

Last but not least is Mint Green from Barry M. This is just a classic Spring/Summer nail polish and for £2.99 you can't really go wrong. It takes a few coats to get a good opacity but overall the colour, application and wear is fab and this polish is worth a try!

So I hope you enjoyed this short but sweet post, and maybe it gave you some ideas for Spring. If you have any questions, requests or just want a chat feel free to contact us or comment below and we would happily reply! Thank you so much for stopping by and hopefully will see you soon!

What's in Anna's makeup bag?

Hi guys, for another quick and easy read I have decided to post what is in my makeup bag. I generally carry what I use day to day, as I keep it in my dressing table drawer (separate from my other makeup). So there isn't too much but hopefully this will entertain you for a few minutes!

My makeup bag is just a small one from Primark (bought a long time ago) and was probably about £3.. It is simple yet effective for what I need it for.

The first thing in my makeup bag is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara in the waterproof formula. I am trying not to use this at the moment as it is relatively new, and I am (attempting to) use up the makeup I have before buying/starting new bits! But that's in there.

Next I have my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 003 Peach Glow. As I mentioned it in my February Favourites, I won't go into much detail. I just love the matte finish it gives with a light dusting without caking on extra powder and coverage.

Third is my moisturizer. I have recently switched to the Johnson's Daily Essential Day Cream for normal skin (from a Neutrogena one I didn't like) and so far I like it. I just thought that this would be a good everyday moisturizer to get my skin back to normal after the winter months.

I also carry my ELF Studio Line blush in Tickled Pink. As you can see, this product has been used lots by both me and my sister because it is such a natural, any-look kind of colour. And, for a cheap price, the colour pay off is quite good and you get a fair amount of product.

Then I have my two Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers in Big Bang (left) and Celestial (right). The main reason I have these in my makeup bag is because I haven't decided where to store them in my collection. However, I do really love these opaque lip lacquers and highly recommend them. I haven't got a good chance to wear them as of yet but so far so good (apart from the smell which I can't stand)!

For my concealer, I am using the well talked about Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1. This concealer gives fab coverage at an even better price. I also find that the colour matches well and does a nice job of illuminating under the eyes.

The mascara which I am trying to use up is the MAC Studio Fix Boldblack Lash. This is almost finished and I have really enjoyed using it for a lovely natural lash look; I find it gives lengthened and defined lashes really easily and this is perfect for the days when I want a bit extra without going full-out.

Next I have the MUA Blusher in Shade 2. Again, I mentioned this in my February Favourites so you can read about it there! Overall I just don't think you can go wrong with this lovely shade for £1!

Another blush I have in my makeup bag is the Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels. This beautiful orangey coral blush was a christmas gift from Olivia (co-blogger). What I love about this blusher is that I have no other colours like it. You also only need the tiniest amount to give a pretty flush and you're ready to go.

Penultimately, there is an empty MAC Brownborder Technakohl Eyeliner. The reason I am keeping this packaging is for Back 2 Mac (if you don't know what this is, read MAC's explanation). I just keep it in my makeup bag as I know that otherwise I will lose it!

And finally I have my liquid eyeliner, the L'Oreal Superliner in Black Lacquer. I think this may have replaced the Carbon Gloss line as I couldn't find that one anywhere. I have only used this a few times but so far I am definitely loving it and I will probably repurchase this when its finished! I find it is very easy to get a thin, black line on the upper lashes and it stays nicely as well!

Ok so that is everything in my makeup bag, I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Please feel free to comment telling me what is in your makeup bag (or about anything else for that matter) or you can contact Olivia and me. Thank you for stopping by!
